Wholesale Online Ordering Portal

Frequently Asked Questions

  • The item I want is out of stock. Can I back order it?

We currently do not have a back-ordering system in place. Our website is a good reference for updates on when products are expected to be available; alternatively you can contact our Customer Services team and we will be happy to provide further details.

  • Why is my chocolate blotchy/specked with white?

This is known as ‘blooming’, when the cacao butter becomes separated from the chocolate. Unfortunately this sometimes happens in transit if the product encounters extreme changes in temperature.

Although the chocolate is perfectly fine to eat or use as an ingredient, the flavour will not be as intended. In such circumstances, please get in touch with us. We will be happy to assess the situation, and arrange a credit or replacement for your chocolate.

  • What is the shelf life for your products?

Most of our products have a shelf life between 18-24 months from dispatch, under ideal storage conditions. This will vary for different products, but in general a cool, dry place will be the best for keeping our products as fresh as possible.

  • Are your products fumigated or irradiated?

The vast majority of Loving Earth products are Australian Certified Organic (ACO). ACO  standards  do not permit irradiation and fumigation. So as long as a product has a legitimate Australian organic certification you can rest assured that it has not been irradiated or fumigated.

  • What do the 'ETA' indications next to out of stock products refer to?

ETA here stands for 'Estimated Time of Availability'.

The goods we produce depend a lot on globally sourced, organic and sometimes seasonal ingredients. This means they need to be processed by our associated cooperatives and growers, make the long journey via sea, pass through various borders, and arrive safely to our factory. Because of these factors, we sometimes experience fluctuating processing times for both wholesale and bulk goods.

The estimation given here is to the best of our ability, and is updated whenever possible. However if you require more specific details please feel free to contact us and we will endeavour to assist you!

  • Are all of your products certified organic?

The vast majority of Loving Earth products are Australian Certified Organic (ACO). This means that our foods and processing facility have been audited to the highest standards to achieve ACO certification; we comply with national and international standards for organic farming and processing. We currently have two products that are not certified organic by ACO:

    1) Gubinge from the Kimberley region. We are looking to get this certified by ACO as wild crafted, however the Nyul Nyul community need to get their land rights through the legal system before this can happen - a lengthy process.

    2) Vanilla Bean Powder from Indonesia. The powder is ground using beans sourced from a number of organic growers on various Indonesian islands. The multiple origins of the beans therefore makes the certification process quite complex. However you can be assured that organic farming methods and standards have been carefully maintained and adhered to throughout the growing & processing of our Vanilla Powder.

  • My chocolate has arrived melted! What can I do?

We currently do not have access to refrigerated transportation, so unfortunately during the hotter months, chocolate orders are at a much higher risk of melting! Please get in touch with us via our Claim Form - we will be happy to assess the situation, and arrange a credit or replacement for your chocolate.

Please see our FAQ tip on chocolate ordering during summer months, to help avoid these cases with your future orders.

  • Where are your products sourced from?

Loving Earth works with small producer communities around the world to provide healthy, sustainable & fair ingredients, which we use to handcraft our unique range of raw chocolate bars and superfood snacks. You can see the Loving Earth story here.

Having established long-term relationships with several indigenous cooperatives, our aim is to help them add as much value as possible to their raw products at the point of origin. You can see more on our website under each product page, about the indigenous growers we support as well as how the goods are grown and processed.
